Paul Keller and Pete Siers will be special guest artists/clinicians
at the three-day Emory University Jazz Festival along with
pianist and Director of Jazz Studies at Emory University Gary Motley
and jazz legend, saxophonist, composer, arranger Benny Golson.
Benny Golson is the composer of famous jazz classics I Remember
Clifford, Along Came Betty, Stablemates and The
Blues March. Paul, Pete, Gary and Benny Golson will teach several
different jazz clinics for Emory music students on Thursday and Friday.
These clinics are also open to the public and FREE OF CHARGE. The
big concert featuring Paul, Pete, Gary and Benny Golson will be held
at 8:00 PM on Friday, February 1 in the magnificent Schwartz Center
on the campus of Emory University.

Jazz Foundation. These concerts will be A Tribute to Benny Goodman
and will feature clarinetist Allan Vache, pianist Mark Shane,
vibraphonist Matt Hoffman, guitarist Howard Alden, drummer
Ed Metz, Jr.. These concerts at the Donald R. Seawell Grand
Ballroom in the Denver Performing Arts Complex include an open bar,
snacks and casual, caberet-style seating. The Donald R. Seawell Grand
Ballroom features a massive, 50-feet long window with a stunning,
panoramic view of Denver and the Rocky Mountains. Showtimes for both

concert at the Ellis Reference & Information Center. The
Ellis Reference and Information Center is part of the Monroe County
Library System. This special event celebrates the 50th anniversary
of Jack Kerouac's The Dhmara Bums. The program
entitled Beat Bhikku focuses on the relationships between the
radical, sub-cultures of jazz and literature that thrived in New York
City in the 1940s and 1950s. Monroe County Library System Program
Director Todd Towler will read from the works of Jack Kerouac
and the Paul Keller Quartet will supply jazz accompaniment
and interludes in the form of music by Dizzy Gillespie, Charlie

and John Coltrane. Historian Dr. Julieanna Frost will
present an historical assessment of both Jack Kerouac and the

School Jazz Band to the Firefly Club as participants in
the 2007 PKO Jazz Student Outreach Program.The PKO will play from
8:15 PM till 9:15. Then, the Pioneer HS Jazz Band will play a 30 minute
set from 9:30 PM till 10:00. Members of the Pioneer HS Jazz Band will
be invited to join the PKO for the last set from 10:00 till 11:00
PM. This event will be rewarding and memorable for the student musicians,
the pros and audience members alike. The Pioneer High School Jazz

The 15-piece
Paul Keller Orchestra performs every Monday night from 8:00
PM till 11:00 PM at the Firefly Club. The Firefly Club is located
637 S. Main Street in Ann Arbor, MI (just south of Madison and just north of Hill. The cross street is Mosley).. The PKO plays classic,
obscure and original big band material selected from the entire
history of Jazz. $7.00 cover charge.
